I’m a little behind in posting this, but had to share! As some of you know, Carly has been blessed with an adorable little boy (he will be on the blog soon), who actually arrived early and about a week after our session, so Carly was so thankful that we planned this when we did. Many of you also know that Carly is one of my dearest friends and luckily when I had a couple of ideas, she said “I’m up for whatever you think” – that is music to my ears!
When I arrived at Carly’s home, I noticed that there was an old abandoned house across the street on several acres. It was for sale and so my idea was to wander across the street, knock on the door and see if anyone was home. Unfortunately, for the beautiful abandoned house, it had been neglected for quite a while and no home owners seem to be present. We quickly made use of our time and took advantage of the beautiful scenery, house and all. I sort of felt like I was back in my childhood exploring new territory and cool undiscovered land, but quickly came back to reality and realized we probably shouldn’t stay very long. (At the wee old age of 10, plus or minus a few years, I would totally find a way inside the house and explore every nook and cranny – not even thinking about the possibility the roof may cave in on my head – lol!)
We then headed back to Carly’s and took some shots utilizing the window light and incorporated this chair she has had since right out of college and I have a weird obsession with. You’ll notice this chair in a future blog post with said child! Not sure what my attraction is with that chair, but I believe she found it in a thrift store, loved it and brought it home. The cat has had its time with it and it has been showered with love over the some 10+ years of ownership. It just has this stand out quality that attracts me to it. Sounds kind of weird – but the bottom line is that I like it. So, now, I present you Carly and her beautiful belly! Hugs and Kisses!
