Kassy + Greg’s Elopement ~ Savannah Elopement Photographer

Are you missing the holiday spirit? How about we take a look back to December and reminisce about the holidays for just a second. I didn’t want to get too far into 2012 without blogging about this elopement.

Kassy and Greg contacted me a couple of weeks from their hopeful elopement date. They were a little frustrated with the wedding planning process and decided that eloping was the ideal situation; concentrating on their love for each other in a beautiful location. Their decision turned out to be perfect with one gorgeous December day in Savannah with temperatures near the mid 70s. The historic Forsyth Park Inn hosted Kassy and Greg on their destination vacation/elopement/honeymoon. And the talented Reverend Steven Schulte officiated the ceremony.

Let me tell you, this day was special! Upon entering Kassy’s room to begin taking photos, she explained to me how much their families and friends loved them so much and how thankful she was of their thoughtfulness – it brought her to tears. Their friends and families were amazingly supportive and all went out of their way to make sure Kassy and Greg’s wedding day was flawless even though they would not be there. It was so heartfelt to hear that friends and families made their wedding cake, set up hair appointments, bought flowers, passed down heirlooms to wear and made Kassy’s bouquet and Greg’s boutonniere. There were many happy tears shed that day; a perfect start to a brand new beginning for the two of them.

Congratulations Kassy and Greg and best wishes! xoxo

Christy + Trent’s Elopement ~ Savannah Elopement Photographer

I love elopements and the couples I meet during our time together! They are so simple, intimate and perfect. I met Christy and Trent on the day of their nuptials and when Trent started out with a joke, I knew I would get along fabulously with both of them. He makes her giggle like every lady should when they are in love! It was hard for them to be anything near serious and we had lots of fun bringing out their smiles and emotions.

The wonderful Reverend Schulte did the honor of marrying these two in the beautiful courtyard at the Eliza Thompson House. Delectable Designs by Michelle Still (my fabulous business partner) made the delicious cake and Gardens on the Square put together a floral arrangement to remember.

Rain was a constant threat that day, but we sneaked out a ceremony, photos in the square and a trip to the beach – but of course. After my time with them was over, their awesome day didn’t end there. Savannah is one of those places where you just don’t know what might happen; she doesn’t want you to forget your time with her. On their way to a delicious dinner at The Olde Pink House, they were stopped in Madison Square and were asked to fill in for the models who didn’t show up to the photo shoot. They both said yes and come to find out they will be in a story featured in, non-other then, the Southern Living Magazine. What a day to remember! Congratulations guys and best wishes!
